When Boats Collide

A man is rowing peacefully on the sea at sunset. The sky is ablaze with color, everything’s perfect.
Then, out of nowhere, a boat rushes toward him, full speed.
His heart races, his anger flares. He shouts, “Watch out! Change your course!”
But as it gets closer, he sees it—an empty boat. No one to blame. No one to shout at. Just an empty boat, drifting.
And just like that, his anger dissolves.
Perhaps, at some point in our lives, we have seen ourselves react strongly to an empty boat.
We react with frustration, assuming there’s someone at fault. But often, there’s no malicious intent, just circumstances beyond anyone’s control.
